First and foremost to Scott Henson of Grits for Breakfast. For those of you who don’t know him, he’s the best in Texas Criminal Justice blogging. His first comment on 2withspirit left me star struck. He’s been my mentor, though I’m not sure he knew that. 
When everyone balked because Rick wasn’t an innocent bystander – Scott didn’t.

Lili – you get it, you know. You too left me star struck – your strength, your talent, and most of all your truth to self. Not that it’s a claim to fame but you’re in the top 5 on the list of people I admire most in my lifetime.
Edge. You kept me from going off the deep end with one phone call when my grandpa had surgery. And many many other times. Love you. and thank you.
Shane – I found you through Rick when all hell was breaking loose between y’all. I thought if things turn out the way I hoped between you two, it’d go a long way in restoring some of my faith in mankind. It did. He’s looking out for you, but you know that. Hope I get a chance to hear you play someday. 
Rick – not sure if you’re still around but if you are, thank you for the song.
